An Appeal letter is an important document for international students to appeal to the school in case they are disciplined by the school.
A successful Appeal letter should include the following sections:
INTRODUCTION:
State your purpose and reason for writing the letter. Include your personal information
Event overview:
Briefly describe in detail the incident in which you were disciplined by the school.
Reasons for complaint:
Describe why you believe the school’s punishment was unjust or unreasonable, including that you did not violate the school’s rules, that the punishment was too severe, that you have been wrongly punished, etc.
EVIDENCE:
Provide evidence related to the incident to support your reasons for complaint.
Reflection and commitment:
Expresses reflection and awareness of one’s behaviour and a commitment to abide by school rules in the future and not make similar mistakes.
ENDING:
Express your request for appeal again, thank the school for giving you the opportunity to appeal, and provide your contact information for further communication with the school.
