I. Writing the Outline Structure
In response to the thesis assignment issued this semester, I am providing a complete outline structure below for your reference. This outline is literature-oriented in the writing process, focusing on the research methodology and interpretation of the analysis results, and comprehensively covering the whole research process. We will start with the introduction and discuss in detail the foundation chapter, the methodology chapter, the results chapter and all subsequent elements in turn. If there are special requirements for the argument, please contact your supervisor as soon as possible.
Choosing the right tutor
According to my experience, a good tutor is able to accurately filter out the key references, explain the background of the topic and the object of the study, and discuss the academic background knowledge in depth, which makes it easy for the students to understand the key references, and thus establishes the tone of the whole thesis. Therefore, the choice of tutor is very important, so make sure you pay attention to this part.
Ensure research direction
In order to ensure consistency and procedure, certain teaching units may grade submitted drafts. During this process, you are advised to make adjustments as much as possible with the instructor’s guidelines and never ignore the core tips from your professor.
IV. Handling the Literature Review Effectively
Writing a literature review is equivalent to completing half of the work of the dissertation. Before you start writing, you need to browse a lot of literature and take notes beforehand. The curriculum usually consists of two major parts: firstly, students are guided to access, read and understand the literature through various tools; secondly, students are guided to think about and integrate the important points in the literature as well as the blank areas of their personal research.
