Basic process
1. Formulate a hypothesis (in literature review)
2. Collect data (Methodology)
3. Design analysis method (Methodology)
4. Present the results (Finding)
5. Discussion
Main difficulties
1. Hypotheses need to be based on theory.
2. The data may not exist (so you need to first be familiar with what type of data you have)
3. Statistical analysis methods are too difficult (generally based on regression equations, social science students may use structural equations)
4. It may be necessary to add Moderation and mediation (to highlight the innovation of the paper, if you don’t understand these two words, it has already proven difficult)
Common reasons for low scores
1. Misunderstanding that quantitative analysis is just statistics of percentages
2. The hypothesis is not based on theoretical reasoning, but based on the research findings of other papers.
3. No research question (or hypothesis or theory)
4. Variable design and data sources are not transparent
5. No analysis (will discuss what can be written in the future)
Tools you need
1. Basic version of Eviews, SPSS
2. Advanced version of Stata, R Studio
3. Database
4. Questionnaire Star
5. At least 3 published papers
6. Videos to supplement the basic knowledge of statistics
7. Forum on how to use bad supplementary measurement tools
