The quality, logic and quantity of references reflected in the essay will directly affect the final score. In addition, British school teachers also attach great importance to students’ citations in the paper’s reference format (they will carefully check every detail).
You should follow the citation standards guided by the school or instructor, and Harvard Reference format is basically required.
intext citation
If you quote a certain sentence or point of view of the author, add () at the end of the sentence, and mark the author’s name and the year of publication of the article in (). Any quotation, whether it is from a newspaper, a book, or All papers must be tagged.
Example: Recessions are always accompanied by high inflation and low output (Cormack, 1994).
If the author’s name appears in the article, you only need to mark the year of publication of the document after the original author’s name:
xxx said/concluded/suggests… then add () after the name and mark the year within ().
Example: Jones(1946)and Smith(1948) have both shown that……
Other cases
If an author publishes two books in the same year. A distinction needs to be made: (Author 2005a) or (Author 2005b).

Internet sources or electronic magazines
Surname, first capital letter of first name. Article title. Journal name (italics), volume (volume), issue (number), page number. URL.
newspaper article
Last name, first capital letter, year. Article title. Name of the newspaper (in italics), date the article was published, and page number.
