The first thing they want to make clear is that it’s “critique”, not “criticism”, so it’s not about nitpicking, it’s about rationally analysing the strengths and weaknesses of a theory or an article, and why you think so.

Critical Analysis

Generally speaking, it revolves around the following questions:
1. Explain the theoretical principles you have applied.
Give specific definitions, i.e. let the teacher know that you really understand the theory and haven’t just thrown it together.
2. Evaluate the process used to arrive at your conclusions.
Evaluate someone else’s experimental methodology, the subjects investigated, and the results of the experiment. If you think it’s well written, you should analyse it, where it’s good, and explain why it’s good in the context of the real situation. But if you think that some investigation methods and results are not reliable, there are some unscientific, unreasonable, this time also have the courage to criticise! Criticism at the same time, you also need to write why you think he is so unreasonable, you think how to be more reasonable, that is, you need to analyse the advantages and disadvantages of the article / S thesis, the conditions of application and so on.
3. relate and evaluate different theories.

4. Identify why you are applying the theory.
