Tips for effective Critical essay tutoring

Critical essays are essentially essays, so all of the common essay requirements apply.

Generally speaking, a complete academic English essay must contain four parts:

1. introduction
(The main part of the essay should be about 10%-15% of the word count.
2. mainpart
(body, describe your position and opinions) about 50%-60% of the length of the essay
3. conclusion
(description and summary of the results of the argument)
4. reference
(Citation, from which author which book that journal’s point of view, should be listed in detail)

1. content

It is to adopt other people’s opinions and bases as the support of your arguments, defaulting to the idea that all the other people’s opinions you use are correct and feasible. Then critically accept, to research to prove your thinking conclusion. The final conclusion is generally what can be improved and developed in the original work, and how my conclusion has theoretical and practical significance.

2. Procedure

Fully understand the topic you have chosen, find the right direction, figure out the inner connection, and then to analyse the situation
Don’t choose paradoxes or points that are too obvious, otherwise your argument will be awkward.

Talk to your teacher more often and let him/her make suggestions
Make sure you have enough time to look for information
