To clarify the main idea of the essay, try the following ideas.
Compare and contrast two things
. List particular aspects of cause and effect analysis .
. Provide evidence for and draw conclusions about one or both arguments .
. List problems and then provide solutions
② Collecting Information
Collect information while taking notes, and finally it is to be written in the Reference List. This information can be the results of others, statistics, theories, experimental results, etc.
③Support the main idea by supporting arguments
If you want to present – a historical overview, it can be sorted according to the historical era; if the position of a point of view indecisive, it is recommended to list the position of contradictory evidence, and then eliminate the use of counter-arguments to achieve persuasive results.
④Writing a topic outline
If the essay is to be a more in-depth study, it is recommended to use some phrases as a topic outline to start your outline writing, and then gradually turn it into a sentence outline.
⑤ Determine the main categories
According to the main idea of the essay and the supporting materials, you can decide to organise the main theme of the whole essay into different logical categories, usually using one big point to represent a paragraph.
(6) Determine the thesis and sub-thesis
Think of at least two arguments for each category, and choose your subarguments based on the main idea of your Essay and the argumentative material you’ve collected. These sub-arguments are the second level of your outline and then put these sub-arguments in the third level of your outline.

Organise your categories, arguments and sub-arguments by using a hierarchy of Roman numerals to clarify your main idea to the reader.
