How to write a letter of complaint

1. Express your gratitude

Because the right to appeal is provided by your university. So the first thing you need to do is to show your gratitude for providing this opportunity. If there is a clear person in charge you can just write “To Mr So-and-so”

2. State the reason

Before asking for a second chance, it is important to clearly indicate the reason for your mistake, and the reason must be reasonable. Don’t use “I forgot the deadline”, “I was under pressure at school”, or any other reason.
It’s more like a health reason or a psychological problem caused by some major change you’ve recently suffered.

3. Show your determination

Explain what you are going to do next, what you will do to prevent things from happening again if you are faced with the same situation, how you will correct your mistakes if you get the chance, and so on.

4. Don’t blame others for the problem. It may be due to the teacher’s mistake.

It may be due to the teacher’s mistakes or other reasons that are not dominated by you to blame the error on others, especially to put the blame on your tutor, the school.
It is okay to state the facts, but you should also be careful about how you speak.

5. Stay humble

The whole letter should remain humble, clear determination that you want to correct, and at the same time to thank the school can consider your request, regardless of the outcome.

To whom it may concern
Today’s CAIE A level results show that I have not met the requirements for a conditional offer of a place at Imperial College. Today’s CAIE A level results show that I have not met the requirements for a conditional offer at Imperial College.
Aptitude.
My conditional offer requires “A* in GCSE Maths and an A in one other subject”.
I got an A grade in Physics (9702) and an A grade in Chemistry (9701), which means I passed the second condition. I think that my further maths grades have been seriously underestimated on this occasion.
Here is some evidence that I am a strong maths learner: 2020 MAT Exam 68 points A Level Maths Exam A Level Maths Competitions Specific write-ups on what competitions and other science competitions I have done well in (submitted to UCAS by my teachers).
All the token Higher Maths notes I have taken and adequate practice from past paper revision can also be used as evidence of learning.
I have enough evidence to prove that I am far better at learning Maths than I have been on this occasion. I have also fulfilled the English Language requirement.
If possible, I would really appreciate your effort and time in reviewing my application requirements. This programme is my first choice and I would really appreciate any opportunity to join.
With best regards,

Dear Admissions Officer
Nome:
UCAS ID:
Thank you very much for dealing with our results and admissions recently. I know it must have been a very busy time for you, but I hope you don’t mind me contacting you because of the difficult situation I am in. I
seek your assistance.
I took my POE assessment. Today I received my Alevel results (A* in Maths, IFurther Math in Physics, but B in Chemistry).
This will seriously affect my entry to Cambridge University.
Based on my AS Chemistry grade (92/100) and my top academic ranking in my cohort, both my school and I expected an ‘A’ in Chemistry.
My Chemistry teacher has given me a predicted grade of Ar. I would like to know if other students taking POE are in a similar situation.
I have fulfilled the Maths/Physics/Advanced Maths conditions as well as the language requirements. At the same time, my school is contacting the CAIE exom committee to dispute my grade.
For the past two years, I have been working hard to realise my Cambridge dream. Especially during my time at Covid, I never stopped trying. I would really like my grades to be recognised.
I would be grateful if we could arrange a telephone discussion or if you could suggest some salvage measures that I or my school could take. I am sorry to bring this to your attention, but really hope that you can help me resolve this difficult situation.

Pay attention to provide evidence, express CAIE results and their usual performance does not match, can not reflect their own level;

The tone must be polite and modest, do not exaggerate, appreciate, thanks, if possible, it would be really helpful if you
could such vocabulary can be used more, can not be rude; true feelings, tell how much they like this programmeme, their CAIE results and the usual results really do not match.
