These mistakes not only affect the effectiveness of the presentation, but also may make the speaker lose his/her reputation in the academic world.
I have a suggestion for you on how to avoid these mistakes.
Firstly, speakers must prepare their speeches in advance, time is assuredly precious. We should prepare our speeches in advance and practice XI many times to make sure that we can express ourselves fluently during the speech.
Secondly, we have to pay attention to our appearance. When giving a speech, we should dress appropriately and have a confident expression, all of which can add a lot of points to ourselves.
Third, we must remember to interact with the audience. During the presentation, we can interact with the audience by raising our hands, asking questions, turning a full stop into a question mark, leading and repeating cleverly, etc. This can make the audience more engaged and the speaker better express his/her own ideas.
