High Score Requirements:
Clear, interesting, and original presentation with a convincing rationale.
Literature Review.
Is there evidence of appropriate selection and discussion of relevant literature? Is there evidence that you have understood and critiqued the reading? Has understanding of the problem/programme development/case study been increased through effective evaluation and synthesis of a range of literature?
High Mark Requirement:
Demonstrates and uses highly relevant literature, is logical and clear, and is innovative in critically discussing the research.
Research Methodology.
Is the methodology appropriate to the problem and data and fully applied? Is the data collected free from bias?
High marks required:
Very clear and relevant theoretical underpinning; excellent theoretical understanding; persuasive reasoning with key evidence.
Discussion & Findings.
Does it reflect (personal) learning about project analysis and understanding of the implications, limitations, strengths and weaknesses of the research?
High Score Requirement:
Subtle and critical discussion of the issues involved; excellent reflection on the strengths and weaknesses of the study; provides new/fresh insights into the problem or development.
Conclusion.
Do the conclusions talk about more than re-state the findings? Do they relate to existing academic debates and/or current evidence? Are they effectively linked to the centre’s l themes/ story/ development?
High marks require: conclusions and key evidence that are closely related to the theme of the thesis; add new insights to the theme of the thesis; and make clear and practical recommendations/opportunities for further development.
Carefully check your paper against these points and build on this with touch-up revisions, and you will not be far from a high mark!
