1. Overview (10 per cent)
a. An introductory section describing the macro-environment and the starting point for the study of the topic;
b. What kind of phenomenon you want to explore and what kind of problem you want to fill in the knowledge gap due to the insufficiency of the previous research (explicitly discussing the problem);
c. What is the purpose of the study, what areas do you want to deepen or what problems do you want to solve (statement of the purpose of the study).
2. Literature review (30%-35%)
a. A detailed list of the literature relevant to their research, with important points and issues identified;
b. A comprehensive review of published articles, revealing gaps and pointing out deficiencies in existing research;
c. Read the works most closely related to the study, and understand and extract the best contents to enrich the research ideas.
3. Research Methodology (15%)
a. Firstly, explain the principles and theoretical development of the study, determine the research methodology (quantitative statistics, qualitative inquiry, or both) and the steps to be taken to implement it;
b. Then describe how it can be applied seamlessly to the study to provide new perspectives on the research;
c. Finally, summarise the strengths and weaknesses of the chosen research methodology and validate it with empirical evidence.
4. Research findings and discussion (30%)
a. first review the main idea and purpose of the study to verify the quality of the study;
b. Present the data in a qualitative or quantitative manner and provide a concise description of the results to highlight their significance;
c. The discussion section should avoid repeating the material obtained from the study, and focus on the strength of the findings to support the theory and the possibility of practical application.
5. Conclusion (10%)
a. Summarise the main methods used in this research, what key conclusions were drawn and what expected goals were achieved;
b. Analyse whether there are some boundary constraints in this research, and if so they should be clearly listed;
c. Based on the results of the study, propose specific insights and development ideas for future in-depth exploration of the relevant areas.
