Outstanding proposals are equal to about half of successful papers and are currently in the opening season, so RP is critical. You need to tell your supervisor about your research topic and direction.
To write your Proposal smoothly, follow these six steps:
1. It is crucial to fully implement Literature Review, so that I can have a deep understanding of the research field. One can refer to the research achievements of others, and the two can identify the research gap and guide the research direction of my own research.
2. After Literature Review, the research topic and research question should be established, so that subsequent research steps can be centered on this issue.
3. Select appropriate Quantitative or Qualitative Research Method, or use both methods to accurately answer research questions.
4. Formulate the corresponding Data Collection Method according to the selected research method.
For example, for quantitative research, Questionnaire should be used to collect Primary Data or Secondary Data from the database.
When conducting quantitative analysis, SPSS, Eviews, Stata and other software are indispensable. Qualitative research can be conducted by collecting data through interviews, focus groups, observations or literature methods.
5. On the basis of the above, deepen the research design, including specific research philosophy, research approaches and research tools.
6. Assess the risk of possible breaches of Research Ethics. As a rule, Ethical Approval is required for research involving human participation. Other types of ethical risk are lower and do not require consideration for such approval.
So far, the main framework of the Proposal has been basically completed. Only by elaborating and double-checking each section can you ensure that the content is accurate.
