仔细看assignment outline和rubric！首先一定要知道教授想要你写的是什么 如何写会给分 这样会清楚重点在哪里 把rubric上的点都写到
有了一个大概的topic之后广阔的research your topic 把所有重要的和你可能用到的点都记下来
这里就会要读一些peer reviewed articles, journals articles,看看关于这个topic别人都说了些什么研究出了什么
根据你的research写出你的thesis 就是你这篇essay的目的是什么
the goal of this paper is to..
重点是你一定要给你的essay一个purpose有一个自己的立场
比如是批判之前其他作者的findings, compare and contrast two ideas, explore a new phenomenon
然后解释为什么你的thesis是重要的 为什么需要discuss这个topic 这个点就是很多教授想要看的 so what?
给你的thesis找supporting points 这就是你的body paragraphs
这里的重点是 提供evidence！back up your argument with evidence！
不可以把evidence写上去就move on
一定要解释你的evidence 为什么它值得一提 它是怎么连接到你的thesis 它是怎么支援你的main argument
我习惯最后写intro和conclusion, intro可以写background info,definitions,intro的尾写thesis
conclusion里要restate thesis&its significance,
最后根据你的topic可以给一些future recommendations
找教授或TA聊你的ideas！有了thesis/draft后去找教授/TA让他们给你一些建议 看看你的方向对不对 这样真的可以提高分数！
